Mageina Tovah Begtrup (born July 26, 1979 in Honolulu , Hawaii ) is an American actress .

Life

Tovah was born on July 26, 1979 in the Hawaiian city of Honolulu. Her parents worked there for the United States Army . Later they moved from Clarksville ( Tennessee ) to Nashville . After high school , Tovah attended the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and then the University of Southern California (USC), where she received a Bachelor of Arts Theater Degree .

Tovah made her first appearance on television in 2001 in an episode of the television series The Guardian . This was followed by other guest appearances (for one episode each ) in the series Buffy - The Vampire Slayer , New York Cops - NYPD Blue , Six Feet Under - Always Dying , Boston Public , Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice , Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with profile , half & half , cold case - no victim is ever forgotten , standoff , private practice , bones - the bone hunter and lie to me . From 2003 to 2005 she played in 23 of 45 episodes of the CBS television series Joan of Arcadia , the role of Glynis Figliola . In parts two and three of the globally successful Spider-Man - Trilogy Tovah played Ursula Ditkovich .

She also appeared in various music videos .
