Nolito (born October 15, 1986 in Sanlúcar de Barrameda ; real life Manuel Agudo Durán ) is a Spanish football player who is under contract with Celta Vigo .

Career

societies

Nolito moved from Atlético Sanluqueño to Écija Balompié in 2006 . He became known for his goal to make it 1-1 in the Copa del Rey against Real Madrid in the 2006/07 season. With Ejica he was at the end of the 2007/08 season champion of Segunda División B Group 4, but failed with the club in the play-offs for promotion. After his contract with FC Barcelona expired, Nolito joined Benfica Lisbon for the 2011/12 season .

On January 29, 2013 Nolito joined on loan until the end of the 2012/13 season back in the Primera División for FC Granada .

After the loan, Nolito did not return to Benfica, but instead joined Celta Vigo for the 2013/14 season . There he met coach Luis Enrique , under whom he already played in the second team of FC Barcelona.

For the 2016/17 season , Nolito moved to the Premier League at Manchester City . He received a four-year contract until June 30, 2020. Under his compatriot Pep Guardiola , however, he was unable to prevail and made 19 league appearances (9 times from the start) in which he scored 4 goals.

For the 2017/18 season , Nolito moved back to Spain to FC Sevilla and signed a contract there until June 30, 2020.

In mid-June 2020, Nolito returned to Celta Vigo by emergency transfer before the 30th matchday of the 2019/20 season. This was possible due to Sergio Álvarez's long-term injury outside of the exchange periods.

National team

On November 7, 2014, Nolito was nominated by national coach Vicente del Bosque for the European Championship qualifier against Belarus and the friendly against Germany . He made his debut on November 18, 2014 in the 0-1 friendly defeat against the reigning world champion.

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was accepted as a regular player in Spain's squad. In all games he was on the starting line-up and in the second group game against Turkey he prepared the 1-0 and turned it into 2-0 himself. In the round of 16 against Italy, he was substituted at half time when the score was 0: 1. The game was lost and Spain was eliminated.
