from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marc is an old Roman man's name, which was probably originally called "Marcitus" or "Marctus". Like the later form of Marcus and the identical form of Mark, it is consecrated to the god of war Mars and means in connection with something "the warrior".

Marc is currently a male given name in French , Catalan and Welsh languages, but is also given elsewhere.

Name day is April 25th.
