Marc Schöttner

Marc Schöttner (born December 29, 1986 in Wiesbaden ) is a German theater and television actor and dancer .

Life

Marc Schöttner grew up in the small town of Strinz-Trinitatis between Wiesbaden and Limburg an der Lahn . In 2010 he began studying acting at the Bern University of the Arts . In 2012 he moved to the Rostock University of Music and Theater .

During his studies he was already involved in many theater performances, short films and reports. In 2011 he received an award for the film Never by the Sea at the FilmFestSpezial film festival . He played his first leading TV role from April 2013 to May 2014 as Lukas Levin in the RTL daily Alles was geht . He then graduated from college in 2015 and wrote his thesis on his three-month acting training in New York with the acting coach Susan Batson and her coaches.

From 2015 to 2017 he was a member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt , where he participated in nine productions. In the 2015/16 season, he embodied several characters in dance scenes at different times in Das Ballhaus , a play without words by Jochen Schölch , who also staged. His portrayal of Karlo Kollmar, directed by Alexander Nerlich in the contemporary drama Jenny Jannowitz, was praised . Or: The Angel of Death by Michel Decar . Donald Berkenhoff directed Bertolt Brecht's parable The Good Man of Sezuan , where he played the role of the aviator Yang Sun. As Prince Paris in the operetta Die Schöne Helena by Peter Hacks and the music by Jacques Offenbach , he also sang in Folke Braband's production . In the 2016/17 season, Maccario was the poet in Carlo Goldoni's comedy Der Impresario von Smyrna , directed by Artistic Director Knut Weber. In the world premiere of Volker Schmidt's highly topical drama djihad Fragments , which was also staged by the author, he impressed as a young Islamist. As a lover, he was in Ibrahim Amir's parallel society comedy Have the Honor to see, directed by Caroline Stolz. In the production by Alexander Nerlich, he played several roles in Decalogue - The 10 Commandments , which was based on the film series by Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski . His last role in Ingolstadt was that of Bundeswehr officer Lars Koch in Ferdinand von Schirach's theatrical hit Terror , which was staged by Annalena Maas. In 2018 the play was revived and he played that role again.

At the Luisenburg Festival 2016 in Wunsiedel he played the role of Leonardo in Federico García Lorca's tragedy Bluthochzeit , directed by Eva-Maria Lerchenberg-Thöny , alongside Maria Kempken and Katy Karrenbauer , for which he was awarded the Festival's Young Talent Prize.

After finishing his permanent position at the theater, he played the leading male role in the television film Nanny Desperately Wanted (2018) on the ZDF television series based on Rosamunde Pilcher . He received a US Green Card (Artist Of Extraordinary Ability) and in January 2018 was in a small supporting role in the ABC series Quantico in front of the camera.

In summer 2019 he was seen again in the title role of the theater adaptation of the movie Shakespeare in love at the Luisenburg Festival in Wunsiedel.
