Martin Barner Jensen (born October 2, 1983 in Støvring ) is a former Danish triathlete . He is Ironman winner (2013) and runner-up in the long-distance triathlon (2015).

Career

After swimming for a few years, Martin Jensen started triathlon in 2006.

In 2008 he was third in the World Triathlon Championship over the long distance (3 km swimming, 80 km cycling and 20 km running) and he was able to repeat this success in 2009 in Perth.
In May 2013 he was runner-up in the European triathlon middle distance in Barcelona and in August he won the Ironman Japan .

Vice World Champion Triathlon Long Distance 2015

In June 2015 he was runner-up in the world triathlon on the long distance in Sweden. Martin Jensen starts together with Camilla Pedersen and Henrik Hyldelund in the Danish Fusion team .

His older sister Line Jensen (* 1981) was also active as a triathlete. He has not appeared internationally since 2015.

Martin Jensen lives with his partner in his native Støvring .
