Mats Sten Erik Olausson (born August 7, 1960 in Malmberget ) is a former Swedish football player . With AIK the defender won the Swedish national cup in the summer of 1985 .

Career

Olausson began playing football at Malmbergets AIF , where he was also active as a handball player. If he had represented the club in handball as a youth in the top division, he still decided on a career as a football player. For this purpose, he joined the third division Brynäs IF in 1978 . When this merged with Gefle IF in the following year to form a syndicate under the name Gefle / Brynäs , he was one of the players that were taken over. Without defeat, the team won the championship in Division 3 Södra Norrland in 1979 . Later the name was reduced to Gefle IF, under which the club established itself in the front area of the second division. In 1982 he reached with the team the relegation games to Allsvenskan , in which they managed to return to the first class with two wins over Kalmar FF after almost fifty years of interruption. Here he played with the club against relegation. At the end of the 1984 season, he finished last in the table.

After 44 first division games Olausson left Gefle IF and stayed in the Swedish elite series. He joined the league rivals AIK, where he immediately started at the side of Sven Dahlkvist , Göran Göransson and Mats Rohdin . In June of that year he was also one of the starting eleven in the cup final against Östers IF , which went into penalties with a 1-1 draw after goals from Teitur Þórðarson and Thomas Andersson , who equalized for AIK in stoppage time . There his club prevailed 4-3 and won the title for the fourth time in the club's history. Under coach Rolf Zetterlund , the club stayed on the road to success and became indoor champions at the beginning of the following year. At the end of the regular season 1986 third in the table, the team then reached the final of the championship. Against Malmö FF , who had dominated regular time, he scored the decisive goal for the 1-0 home win with a penalty in the first leg. In the second leg, however, the team around Bernt Ljung , Thomas Bergman , Lars Zetterlund and Björn Kindlund were almost overrun: Lasse Larsson had put his club 2-0 in the lead after half an hour and scored 3-0 in the second half before Kim could shorten Bergstrand . After two goals from Malmö's Mats Magnusson , the game was finally decided, Thomas Johansson's goal to make it 2: 5 was nothing more than a cosmetic result.

Under the new coach Nils Andersson , Olausson first repeated winning the indoor championship in 1987, but in the following season the club slipped into the fight to stay up. Even after a new coach change at the end of the season, he was under Sanny Åslund a regular at the club from Solna. Even under the new supervisor, the club only secured relegation on the last match day. Was he no longer undisputed in the 1989 season , he moved to Väsby IK after the end of the season after 85 league games for the club . Here he played for two years in the second division before moving to IFK Luleå in 1992 for professional reasons . In his first year still on the move to the Allsvenskan, when he reached the promotion round with the team and only failed after a 2-1 home win with a 2-4 defeat in the second leg at Västra Frölunda IF , he played until his Retired 1995 for the club in the second division. After the end of his active career, he got involved in the youth area of Notvikens IK , where he was briefly on the field again in 2000.

Olausson studied law in Stockholm between 1985 and 1990 before completing his training as a police director until 1994. For this purpose he was transferred to Luleå in 1992, where he took over the post of police director in 1994. From 1998 he worked for Försäkringskassan before moving to Scania subsidiary Ferruform in 2000 .
