Michael Schlierf
Michael Schlierf (born March 17, 1965 ) is a German pianist , composer , arranger and music producer .
Life
Schlierf has been playing the piano since he was five. He first began a classical training, but later decided to train as a jazz pianist. From 1985 he studied jazz and popular music at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts .
Schlierf worked with the then SDR Südfunk-Tanzorchester (later SWR Big Band ) under the direction of Erwin Lehn . He accompanied Bill Ramsey , Gloria Gaynor , Roberto Blanco , Caterina Valente and “Wetten dass ..?” On Johannes Heester's 100th birthday.
From 1992 he completed a 3-year course at the Biblical School Belief Center Bad Gandersheim . Since then he has been involved in various Christian musical projects and has worked with Don Potter , Cae Gauntt , Lothar Kosse , Albert Frey , Déborah Rosenkranz , Christoph Zehendner , Angela Gerhold , Beate Ling , Sarah Kaiser and Andreas Malessa , among others .
In 2009 he produced several film scores. He works as musical advisor for the TV service hour of the highest with the Zieglerschen eV , which is broadcast on Bibel TV .
In 2011 he was the pianist of the nostalgia concert series Unforgotten - songs that will remain of the ERF and Gerth Medien . In 2013 he was a pianist at the ProChrist event in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart . In 2019 he is engaged as a pianist and musical advisor at the Congress of Christian Leaders in Karlsruhe and as a pianist at the Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller in Germany.
Private
Schlierf is married, has two daughters and lives with his family in Eberdingen .
