Michelle Bonilla

Michelle C. Bonilla (born March 2, 1972 in Hollywood ) is an American actress .

Life

Michelle Bonilla studied music, dance and drama at Los Angeles City College at the age of ten and later practiced, mainly in drama, at California State University, Northridge .

She had her first small television appearances in 1995 in the series Palm Beach Duo and Beverly Hills, 90210 . She played bigger roles in television series as Teresa Morales in Dr. Quinn - a passionate doctor (1996–1997), as Christine Harms in Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme (1999–2009) and as Celena in Failing Upwards (2012) in which she also participated as a producer and screenwriter. She had a number of other small roles in television series such as JAG - In Order of Honor (1998), Nash Bridges (1999), Star Trek: Enterprise (2002), New York Cops - NYPD Blue (1997,2002), Unfabulous (2005 ), Saving Grace (2010) and All My Children (2011).

Films she has appeared in include Fatal Fraud (1995), Time to Pay (1999), Kill Your Darlings (2006), Katrina (2007), The Visit (2010) and Model Minority (2012). In 1998 she won the ALMA Award for her role in the short film Foto Novelas: Seeing Through Walls , which she shares with Roxann Dawson . In 2011 she won the Bronze Palm Award at the Mexico International Film Festival , as well as the Q Award at the Fort Worth Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival , for her short film Slip Away , for which she wrote the screenplay and in which she also participated as a producer she shares with Jenn Garrison and TM Scorzafava.
