Monitos is a municipality ( municipio ) in the department of Cordoba in Colombia .

Moñitos is located in the north of Córdoba on the Caribbean . The community is bordered by the Caribbean in the north and west, San Bernardo del Viento in the northeast, Santa Cruz de Lorica in the east and Puerto Escondido in the south .

The municipality of Moñitos has 29,117 inhabitants, of which 7368 live in the urban part (cabecera municipal) of the municipality (as of 2019).
