Monteverde is an Italian commune with 740 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Avellino in the Campania region and is a member of the association I borghi più belli d'Italia (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy). The municipality is part of the Comunità Montana Alta Irpinia mountain community and namesake of the titular diocese of Monteverde .

The Monteverde train station is a few kilometers south of the town on the Avellino – Rocchetta Sant'Antonio railway line, which is no longer used for passenger transport .
