Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White (born January 27, 2000 in Stafford ) is an English football player who plays as a midfielder for the Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers .

Career

Gibbs-White joined Wolverhampton Wanderers at the age of 8 and played in the club's academy of all ages. He made his professional debut at the age of 16 as a substitute in the 2-0 win against Stoke City , a team from the Premier League, on January 7, 2017 in the 3rd round of the FA Cup . He made his first league game in the Football League Championship on February 14, 2017 in a 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic . In January 2018 it was announced that Gibbs-White had signed a contract that will run until the summer of 2022. In the 2018/19 season he plays with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

In August 2020 Gibbs-White extended his contract to 2023 and joined the second division Swansea City for the 2020/21 season .

National team

Gibbs-White was part of the English team that won the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup . He scored two goals in the tournament, against the United States in a 4-1 win in the quarterfinals and one in the final, which England beat Spain 5-2. In December 2017, teammate Rhian Brewster stated in an interview with the Guardian that Gibbs-White was racially insulted by a Spanish player in the final. The FA reported the incident to FIFA .
