Mund Art Theater - Thorsten Wszolek
The Mund Art Theater - Thorsten Wszolek is an entertainment production company that has been sponsored by MAT Mund Art Theater GmbH in Neu-Isenburg since 2000 . It was founded in 1994 under the name "Neu-Isenburger Mundart-Ensemble" by Thorsten Wszolek , who has been the artistic director since then and since 2000 managing director of the GmbH. The MAT includes the Mainhatten Pops Orchester and the theater and music publisher Grant Media Publishing , where the music, arrangements and texts of Thorsten Wszolek himself are legally protected.
The theater sees itself as a pure production company and does not maintain its own stage. Most of the premieres, however, take place in the Huguenot Hall in Neu-Isenburg, which is viewed by a large part of the audience as a Mund Art Theater . The productions only run for a few days in Neu-Isenburg and are then sold to other theaters, town halls and town houses .
The private company finances itself through the sale of tickets and the licensing of the productions to other companies. The theater receives EUR 4,500 per year from the city of Neu-Isenburg as a public subsidy. There is also a friend and sponsor of the Neu-Isenburg dialect ensemble and its Mainhatten Pops Orchester eV
The MAT was awarded the culture prize back in 2000.
The anniversary gala for the 10th anniversary of Mundart Deluxe was recorded by hr-fernsehen in 2004 and broadcast on January 1, 2005, at 8:15 pm at prime time. Since then it has been repeated regularly in the third programs.

The MAT has around 20 permanent actors. Numerous celebrities have taken on guest roles in recent years or have become permanent members of the ensemble. The orchestra has 27 permanent musicians. Depending on the requirements, it can be enlarged to up to 60 instrumentalists.

repertoire
The MAT does play all productions in Frankfurt (or Rhine-Main) Neuhessisch , but is not a national or local theater in the true sense. Rather, large and international boulevard theaters and renowned musicals are satirized or parodied here. In addition, new spoken and musical theater pieces are developed, produced and thus brought to world premieres .
In addition to the actual theater business, the Mainhatten Pops Orchester organizes concerts and concert tours.
The game plan is structured. In October, the season premiere takes place with a Schwank or a tabloid comedy. Wszolek largely takes the authors Arnold and Bach or Ray Cooney into account , unless works by his own pen are played. A musical or a Christmas gala follows in December. The New Year's Concert takes place on the first Sunday of the year. In April there will be a gala with entertainment, and in mid-June the MAT will end the season with a comedy or comedy.
En Bembel full ...
Since 2010, the MAT has been organizing the series "En Bembel voll ..." several times a year, a format that is reminiscent of the radio television program " Zum Blauen Bock " in terms of its basic features and presentation . Like Heinz Schenk, Wszolek appears in traditional Hessian cider suits and is the focal point of the evening. He likes to remember Heinz Schenk, quotes him and tells anecdotes from the good old days of big TV Saturday night entertainment. But he avoids imitating Heinz Schenk and always remains himself. He accompanies himself on the piano and leads the orchestra, as the great Franz Grothe usually did in the TV original . Other participants come from their own ensemble. Catering in the hall is provided by the Possmann family winery and the Solzer apple wine, a traditional Frankfurt restaurant .
Throughout the year, the events are called "En Bembel full of fun", at Christmas "En Bembel full of Christmas" and the traditional summer open air on the company premises of the Possmann cider press "En Bembel full of music".
Conception
The sustained success can probably be explained by the grotesque contrasts: Cabaret satire, but pompous theater with a large symphony orchestra in bow ties and tails, and all of this in an often very, very crude dialect.
