NGC 2425 is an open star cluster in the constellation aft deck of the ship . The star cluster, which was discovered by Friedrich Wilhelm Herschel on March 8, 1793 , has a diameter of about 5 arc minutes . In the starry sky it is roughly between Messier 46 and Messier 47 .
