NGC 2429 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Lynx at the northern sky . It is an estimated 256 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter. Presumably it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with NGC 2426 . Presumably it forms an interacting galaxy pair with the dwarf galaxy LEDA 21663 and together with NGC 2426 a gravitationally bound trio.
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 2431 .
The object was discovered by Ralph Copeland on March 10, 1874 .
