Naoufal Bannis (born March 11, 2002 in The Hague ) is a Dutch football player of Moroccan descent who is under contract with the honorary division Feyenoord Rotterdam . The striker has been a Dutch U18 international since September 2019 .
Career
society
Naoufal Bannis was born in The Hague and is of Moroccan descent. He began his football training with the local VV Haaglandia and in the summer of 2011 he joined the largest club in the city, ADO Den Haag , before moving to Feyenoord Rotterdam six years later . In the 2017/18 season he played for the first time in the B-Junior Eredivisie for the U17s and scored ten goals for them in 20 league games. He also made his first appearances in the U19 team this season. On May 24, 2018, Bannis signed his first professional contract with Club aan de Maas . In the following season 2018/19 he scored ten goals in 15 league appearances for the U19s. In the 2019/20 season, the striker continued to play regularly in this age group, but was also called up for the first time in the reserve and in the first team. On August 4, 2019 (1st matchday) he made his debut in the 2-2 draw against Sparta Rotterdam in the top Dutch division when he came on for the injured central defender Eric Botteghin in the closing stages . Especially at the beginning of the season he was used sporadically for the men, but then played mainly for the U19s and the Reserve Feyenoords. In total, until the end of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had played six competitive appearances for the first team as well as 17 games (nine goals) for the U19s and eight for the reserve team (four goals).
National team
Naoufal Bannis played four international matches for the Dutch U15 national team between January and May 2017 , in which he scored one goal. From October 2017 to April 2018 he scored three goals in ten appearances in the U16 . He has been working for the U17s since September 2018 . In qualifying for the 2019 European Under-17 Championship , he impressed with seven goals in three appearances and took part in the final round in Ireland with the selection . There he played all six games, scored two goals and won the tournament with the U17s. In the same year he scored a goal in five appearances at the U17 World Cup in Brazil in 2019 and finished fourth with the selection. He made a total of 17 international matches for the U17s, in which he scored eleven goals.
Bannis has been a Dutch U18 international since September 2019 .
