Natalja Jurjewna Malyschewa ( Russian: Наталья Юрьевна Малышева ; born January 2, 1994 in Abakan ) is a Russian wrestler . In 2017 she was runner-up in the European championship in the weight class up to 53 kg.

Career

Natalia Malysheva started wrestling in 2006 at the age of 12. She is 1.60 meters tall and starts for a sports club in Abakan in Khakassia . She was trained by Vladimir Tschuchunow and Leonid Tschuchunow. She is a student.

She first appeared on the international wrestling mat in 2013 at the age of 19. This year she started at several major international tournaments. Her first start was in January 2013 at the renowned Ivan Yarigin Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk , where she came 9th in the weight class up to 51 kg. At the Alexander Medwed Prize in Minsk, at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid and at the Wacław Ziółkowski Memorial in Spała , she landed in the medal ranks in the same weight class.

At the 2014 Iwan Yarigin Grand Prix she came in 3rd place in the weight class up to 53 kg behind her compatriot Maria Gurowa and Maria Prevolaraki from Greece. In the summer of 2014 she landed her first major international successes. In June she became Junior European Champion in Katowice in the weight class up to 51 kg and in August this year in Zagreb in the same weight class she was also Junior World Champion in the age group "Juniors". It was then used in September 2014 at the women's world championship in Tashkent in the weight class up to 53 kg. She won there over Roksana Zasina from Poland, then lost to Saori Yoshida from Japan, defeated the Chinese Pang Qianyu and lost in the battle for one of the bronze medals against Jillian Gallays from Canada.

In 2015 Natalja Malysheva was also part of the Russian team at the European Games in Baku . In the weight class up to 53 kg she won in Baku over Melanie Le Saffre from France and Silvia Felica from Italy, but lost to Nadezhda Schuschko from Belarus. Since this did not reach the final, she was eliminated and came in 7th place. In the same year it was used in September at the World Championships in Las Vegas . But she lost her first fight there against Odunoyo Adekuoroye from Nigeria, eliminated and only came in 23rd place.

In March 2016 she achieved her next major international success. She became U23 European Champion in the weight class up to 53 kg in Russia . On the way to this success she defeated Mercedesz Denes, Hungary, Auiztane Gorria Goni from Spain, Julia Leorda from Moldova and Lilija Horischna from Ukraine. In April 2016, Natalia Malysheva tried to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro at a tournament in Ulaan Baatar . She finished there in the same weight class behind Helen Maroulis from the United States and Maria Prevolaraki in 3rd place, but only the first two qualified for Rio. In June 2016 she was Russian champion in the same weight class in front of Stalwira Orshush , Yekaterina Poleschtschuk and Lyubow Salnikowa .

In May 2017 Natalja Malysheva competed at the European Championships in Novi Sad in the weight class up to 53 kg. There she defeated Maria Prevolaraki and Nina Hemmer from Germany and was thus in the final against the Belarusian Wanessa Kaladsinskaja , against whom she lost on points. She became vice European champion. In 2017 she was the Russian runner-up in the same weight class behind Stalwira Orshush and ahead of Lyubow Salnikowa and Yekaterina Poleschtschuk.

In the following years she was still at the start with many strong tournaments with good results, but was no longer used at world or European championships.
