Nik Kevin Koch (* 1981 in Stuttgart ) is a German tenor .

Koch completed a singing course at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne and Zurich with Christoph Prégardien and graduated with distinction. During this time he attended master classes with Hartmut Höll and Tobias Koch (Lied), Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , Werner Güra and Ingeborg Danz . He is supervised by the soprano Mechthild Bach . He is the winner of the Handel Prize in Karlsruhe.
This was followed by engagements in the opera studio of the State Theater in Nuremberg , at the State Theater in Stuttgart and at the Cologne Opera . Since the 2010/11 season he has been a member of the ensemble at the St. Gallen Theater , where he has performed in roles such as Andres ( Wozzeck ), Tamino and Monostatos ( Die Zauberflöte ), 2nd Jew ( Salome ), Caramello ( One Night in Venice ), Don Anchise ( La finta giardiniera ), Brighella ( Ariadne auf Naxos ), Steuermann ( The Flying Dutchman ), Count Albert ( The Dead City ), Pedrillo ( The Abduction from the Seraglio ), Remendado ( Carmen ), Baron Kolomán Zsupán ( Countess Mariza ), 3. Angel ( Written on Skin ), Triquet ( Eugen Onegin ), Malcolm ( Macbeth ), Spoletta ( Tosca ), Flavio ( Norma ), Don Curzio ( Le nozze di Figaro ), Nanki-Poo ( The Mikado ), Abdallo ( Nabucco ), Tristan ( Le vin herbé ), Fischer ( Le rossignol ) and Albin Swoboda in David Philip Hefti's first opera Anna's Mask . In the 2018/2019 season he sang Lukas in Haydn's Seasons in a dance implementation by Beate Vollack.
He worked u. a. with the conductors David Parry , Marcus Creed , Helmuth Froschauer , Michail Jurowski , Christoph Spering , David Stern , Thomas Rösner , Otto Tausk , Karsten Januschke , Antonino Fogliani , Pietro Rizzo, Oleg Romanenko, Sascha Goetzel and Modestas Pitrėnas as well as with the orchestras Staatsorchester Stuttgart , the Musica Fiata, the State Philharmonic Nuremberg , the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen , with the St. Symphony Gallen , the Gürzenich Orchestra , the new Orchestra of Cologne, the Collegium Musicum Eastern Switzerland, the Collegium Musicum Moscow, the Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and the WDR radio Orchestra together . Opera and concert activities have taken him to the Ludwigsburg Palace Festival , the Cologne Philharmonic , the Kulturcasino Bern , the Tonhalle St.Gallen , the Beethoven House in Bonn, the Henry Crown Hall Jerusalem and Catedral de Santiago Bilbao , and the Abbeye Royale de Fauntevraudans, to the National Theater Donetsk / Ukraine as well as to the Lütfi Kirdar International Exhibition and Convention Center Istanbul and the Lutheran Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul Moscow.
His concert repertoire includes a. Compositions by Claudio Monteverdi , oratorios by Georg Friedrich Händel and Joseph Haydn , mass settings by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Haydn, the evangelist parts in the Passions by Johann Sebastian Bach and works from the 20th century. As a lieder singer, he mainly devotes himself to composers such as Franz Schubert , Hugo Wolf , Ludwig van Beethoven and Robert Schumann .
