The Nikon D5000 is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Nikon , which was launched in May 2009.
technical features
The 12,3- Megapixel - Image Sensor delivers images with a maximum of 4288 × 2848 pixels. It has a size of 23.6 mm × 15.8 mm (manufacturer designation DX format ).
In addition to photos, the camera can also record digital videos in HD format at 24 frames per second. It also has a swiveling display, automatic sensor cleaning and a live view function.
The film and image data are saved on an SD memory card .
equipment
The camera does not have its own autofocus motor; therefore only lenses with an integrated motor (manufacturer's own AF-S and AF-I series) can be used without restrictions. With older lenses, you can only focus manually. In HD video mode, the focus must always be set manually.
The camera uses the USB connection - in addition to data transfer - as an accessory interface. It is compatible with the WR-T10 radio trigger . On the other hand, GPS receivers can be connected for geotagging the photos inside the camera . Longitude and latitude as well as the height are written directly into the image files. The manufacturer offers the Geotagger GP-1 for this. Although the manufacturer's own GPS receiver does not have a built-in compass, the interface supports directional information ( heading ), which can also be used by products from third-party manufacturers.
