The Nikon D7500 is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Nikon . It was launched in June 2017.

technical features

The 20,9- Megapixel - Image Sensor , which is also in the APS-C flagship Nikon D500 is installed, allows shooting with a maximum of 5568 x 3712 pixels. It has a size of 23.5 mm × 15.7 mm (manufacturer designation DX format ). The D7500 also takes over the Expeed 5 processor and the RGB light metering sensor with around 180,000 pixels from the D500. Other features of the D500 and the previous models in the D7xxx series, such as a second SD card slot and a connection point for a battery grip, have been removed. The serial image speed of eight images per second has been improved compared to the previous Nikon D7200 with six images per second.

The standard exposure index of the camera can be set from ISO 100 to 51,200 and can be expanded to ISO 1,640,000. The camera has a light-weighted exposure metering.

It also has an SD card slot as well as Bluetooth and WLAN radio interfaces .

In the original firmware version 1.01, the use of WLAN was limited to Nikon's SnapBridge app, and this also applied to the D500 , D850 and D5600 . After an open letter to Nikon initiated by photographer Gunther Wegner , this limitation was lifted with the firmware update to version 1.10 in May 2019 and WLAN connectivity was opened for third-party applications.
