The Nikon D300 is a digital SLR camera from the Japanese manufacturer Nikon , which was launched in November 2007. The manufacturer aimed them at professional and amateur photographers.
General
The D300 has a CMOS sensor with a size of 23.6 mm × 15.8 mm (manufacturer designation DX format ) and achieves a resolution of 12.3 megapixels (4288 × 2848 pixels). The camera is ready to take pictures in 0.13 seconds after being switched on and can take up to 6 pictures per second. With the optional MB-D10 battery handle, which holds eight Mignon batteries or the EN-EL4a rechargeable battery , it is even 8 images per second. The camera has a cleaning system - not the sensor but the low-pass filter in front of the sensor is vibrated by piezo elements , which shakes off the dust. The D300 also has a 14-bit A / D converter, Nikon Expeed image processor, autofocus 3D tracking (tracking of the object), autofocus fine adjustment, live view , exposure index 200-3200 (100 and 6400 over Special function). The shutter is designed for 150,000 releases. A 3-inch display with VGA resolution is attached to the rear. The camera has an autofocus system with 51 measuring fields and 15 cross-type sensors (camera-internal module Multicam 3500DX ), as well as an HDMI video output . The camera has a housing made of a magnesium alloy. The pentaprism viewfinder offers a viewfinder image of 100%, in which grid lines can be superimposed in addition to the usual image information. The name of the photographer and a copyright notice can also be included in the Exif information of the pictures taken (with updated firmware from A1.10).
An important difference to the predecessor D200 is that the Nikon D300 can also use lenses with electronic iris control ("E Nikkor", not to be confused with the "E series" for the Nikon EM). The diaphragm is no longer closed via the diaphragm lever in the bayonet, but is controlled via the contacts located at the top of the bayonet.
Nikon D300s model
In August 2009, the manufacturer launched the D300s model . The camera is based on the technology of the D300 model described above. It also has a video mode in HD quality (1280 × 720 pixels). The sound can be recorded in stereo via an external microphone and in mono via the microphone built into the camera. The auto focus can also be used during filming. The D300s can process CF and SD cards as storage media in two different card slots, but not CF Type II or Microdrive cards. The controls are based on those of the D700 model . The D300s achieves 7 images per second without additional accessories, which can be increased to 8 images / s with the battery grip MB-D10 (with lithium-ion battery of type EN-EL4). A lithium-ion battery of type EN-EL3e is used for power supply. The camera has an artificial horizon that can only be displayed on the LC monitor. Another new feature is a kind of interactive monitor, which can be used to make some more frequently used settings directly.
equipment
The cameras D300 and D300s both have a combined accessory interface to which, in addition to a cable release, a GPS receiver such as the Nikon GP-1 can be connected in order to enable geotagging of the recordings. In addition to the GPS data, the GPS interface also processes compass information. For the camera types with DX sensors, Nikon offers different lenses in the special lens series DX-Nikkor as well as from other manufacturers, from fisheye to telephoto zoom as well as macro lenses .
Individual evidence
- ↑ Nikon (among other manufacturers) counts the subpixels of each pixel, i.e. H. the red, green and blue channels of each pixel individually, and therefore specifies the rear display with 307,200 [pixels] × 3 [colors] = 921,600 or approx. 921,000 pixels.
