Nordgoltern is a northeastern district of the city of Barsinghausen on the outskirts of the Hanover region in Lower Saxony . The place is directly on the B 65 running from west to east . The 16 km long Südaue flows through Nordgoltern .

history

The estate in Nordgoltern is a renaissance complex surrounded by a moat , which is based on the Hanoverian deputy judge Martin VI. von Heimburg (1538–1605), in whose family she stayed until 1870. The residence of the estate was built in 1713, the former chapel of the courtyard at the same time. There is a park to the west. After various changes of ownership and renovations, the Deegener family has renovated the facility since 2008.

Nordgoltern united on July 1, 1968 with the communities of Eckerde , Göxe , Großgoltern and Stemmen to form the community of Goltern . The incorporation of the community Goltern into the town of Barsinghausen took place on March 1, 1974 as part of a community reform .

coat of arms

Coat of arms of Nordgoltern
Blazon : "In blue an inserted, red tip , covered with a golden fortress tower with a gallery, accompanied on the right by a silver spearhead on the left, on the left by two crossed, silver horse heads ( windboards )."
Justification of the coat of arms: The medieval golden fortress tower on a red background comes from the coat of arms of the lower aristocratic family living in Nordgoltern. The silver spearhead reminded that in 1959 in the northern Feldmark of Nordgoltern a spearhead of flint found and thus the proof has been furnished that here already about 5000 years ago people lived. The silver horse heads symbolize the agriculture, which is predominantly carried out in Nordgoltern, and the still rural character of the district.
  • Because there is a red tip on a blue background, the current coat of arms is not heraldically correct (see tinging - heraldic color rules ). Thus, no color may be used on one color or silver / gold on silver / gold.
