The Norwegian Bliss is a cruise ship operated by the Norwegian Cruise Line .

history

construction

The ship was ordered together with Norwegian Encore in July 2014 . Construction began under construction number S.707 on October 28, 2016. The keel laying ceremony followed on May 24, 2017. An engine room section was built at the Neptun shipyard and transferred to Papenburg in March 2017. As part of Meyer Werft's construction strategy , a first section was undocked on June 10, 2017. A second section followed on August 26, 2017 to enable the World Dream to be undocked . Both sections were then re-docked. The Norwegian Bliss left the construction dock on February 17, 2018.

On 13./14. March the ship was transferred over the Ems to Eemshaven and delivered on April 19, 2018 in Bremerhaven .

commitment

Following the takeover, the ship entered service in Southampton on April 21, 2018 . The ship was christened on May 30, 2018 in Seattle by Elvis Duran . It has been used in Alaska ever since .
