The Norwegian Encore is a cruise ship operated by the Norwegian Cruise Line .

history

construction

The ship was ordered together with Norwegian Bliss in July 2014 . Construction began under construction number S. 708 on January 31, 2018. The keel-laying ceremony followed on November 28, 2018. An engine room section was built at the Neptun shipyard and transferred to Papenburg in August 2018. As part of Meyer Werft's construction strategy , a first section was undocked on November 23, 2018. The Norwegian Encore left the construction dock on August 17, 2019.

On September 30th / 1. October 2019 the ship was transferred over the Ems to Eemshaven and delivered on October 30, 2019 in Bremerhaven .

The Norwegian Encore is the 14th and for the time being the last cruise ship that Meyer Werft has built for the Norwegian Cruise Line . On November 22, 2019, she was in Miami by Kelly Clarkson baptized.

commitment

After the takeover, Norwegian Encore carried out an initial preview voyage with invited guests from Bremerhaven to Southampton , in order to start the Atlantic crossing on November 2nd. Then trips to destinations in the Eastern Caribbean are offered.

Furnishing

The Norwegian Encore has the longest go-kart track at sea at 350 m. There are a total of 19 restaurants on board, including 13 specialty restaurants.
