Ochsenbruch (Hunsrück)
The Ochsenbruch nature reserve is located in the Birkenfeld district in Rhineland-Palatinate and is part of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park .
The approximately 48 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1979 , extends northwest of the local community of Börfink . The state road L 165 runs south of the area. The 762.7 m high Ruppelstein rises in the area .
The protection purpose is the preservation of the wetland with its water and moor areas as the location of numerous rare plants.
The Saar-Hunsrück-Steig leads over a boardwalk through the north-western tip of the area.
