The Oldsmobile Bravada is a US- produced sport utility vehicle by General Motors . Production of the Oldsmobile Bravada began in the fall of 1991, was suspended for a year from mid-1995 and ended in April 2004.

The Oldsmobile Bravada complemented the Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Jimmy, or later the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy , based on the same platform , by being offered in higher-quality equipment variants than these.

Over the course of its existence, the Bravada went through the same technical revisions as Blazer and Jimmy, but was only ever offered in a four-door version with a short wheelbase. The first generation (1991 to 1995) was followed by a second (1996 to 2001) and a third (2001 to 2004).

The Bravada was powered by the 4.3-liter V6 engine known from the Chevrolet Blazer. In 1994 Oldsmobile brought out a special edition of the Bravada, which offered leather seats and additional electronic instruments, but cost $ 1,000 less than the standard version.

In 2000 the Platinum Edition of the Bravada came onto the market, which enriched the already lavish equipment of the Bravada with additional extras.

In autumn 2001 the third generation of the Bravada was introduced.

With the discontinuation of the Oldsmobile brand in April 2004, the production of the Oldsmobile Bravada also ended.
