The Oldsmobile 80 , also - like its predecessor - Oldsmobile L-series called, was an automobile of the upper class , the only model year 1939 Oldsmobile , a brand of General Motors , was built. It was the brand's top model.
Like its predecessor was the 80 equipped with a side-valve in-line eight cylinder engine with 4211 cc capacity, the at 3400 min -1 developed a power of 110 hp (81 kW). Compared to its predecessor, the 80 was equipped with a slightly lower belt line and more elegantly curved front fenders. In addition to the main grille under the alligator hood, he carried small side grills under the headlights.
The 80 was available as a 2- or 4-door sedan with five seats, as a 2-door club or business coupé with three seats or as a 2-door cabriolet with 3 seats.
In this single model year, 16,165 units were built, ¾ of which were 4-door sedans. In 1940 the Oldsmobile 90 followed the 80.
