The final in the men's floor exercise at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on August 5, 2012 at The O₂ . A total of eight gymnasts competed.

In the qualifying competition on July 28, 2012, eight gymnasts had qualified for the final. The regulations stipulated that only two gymnasts per NOK were allowed to compete in the final. A third qualifier was not allowed to compete and was replaced by a gymnast who was the next best.

The evaluation of an exercise consisted of the degree of difficulty (D-Score) and the execution (E-Score), which were added to the overall evaluation and from which any penalty points were deducted. If two gymnasts have the same total number of points, the higher score of the execution is decisive.
