Gabrielle Douglas secured the third US victory in a row in the women's individual all-around event.
The Russian Mustafina and the American Raisman achieved the same total number of points. To determine the winner of the bronze medal, the three best ratings were calculated. Mustafina achieved 45,933 (uneven bars 16,100; horse jump 15,233; floor 14,600) compared to Raisman with 45,366 (horse jump 15,900; floor 15,133; uneven bars 14,333).
Because Hannah Whelan (GBR) did not land on her feet in the horse jump, she got a rating of 0,000, but was allowed to continue the competition.
