The final in the men's horse vault at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held on August 6, 2012 at The O₂ . A total of eight gymnastics competed.

In the qualifying competition on July 28, 2012, eight gymnasts had qualified for the final. The regulations stipulated that only two starters per NOK were allowed to compete in the final. A third qualifier was not allowed to compete and was replaced by the gymnast who was the next best.

Each athlete completed two jumps. Each jump was rated according to difficulty (A-Score) and execution (B-Score) and added to the overall grade, any penalty points were deducted directly. The final score was determined using the average of the two jumps. The points of the qualification jumps were not taken into account.
