The Paradiskullen in Örnsköldsvik consists of several ski jumps . The facility includes three smaller jumps of category K 10, K 20, K 35 , a medium hill of category K 55 and a normal hill of category K 90. The K-62 hill was demolished in 2004. The jumps are covered with plastic matting.
Sweden’s first plastic covered ski jumping hill was located there between 1961 and 1992. The hill has developed into the ski jumping and combination center of Sweden. The ski high school is the only one in the country where there is jumping; almost all known Swedish jumpers are members of the IF Friska Viljor association and were trained at the ski school. The Junior World Championships took place on what was then the K-70 hill, between 1985 and 1994 ski jumping world cups were held in Örnsköldsvik.
Because of the construction of the Botniabana the ski jumps had to be demolished in 2004. The K-90 hill was rebuilt, offset by 40 m; the railway line leads on a bridge over the outlet of the ski jump. Four more jumps, which were inaugurated in 2004, were built on the back of the mountain. The K-90 hill was completed in October 2005.
