The mother-of-pearl island ( Russian Перламутровый ; Perlamutrowy) was an island of the arctic Franz Josef country belonging to Russia . After its ice cap melted , it disappeared at the end of the 20th century.
The island was 200 m off the south coast of Graham Bell Island . It was covered by an almost circular ice cap with an area of 1.5 km² and reached a height of 22 m above sea level.
