The Philippine U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Philippine soccer players . It is subordinate to the Philippine Football Association PFF and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympic Games and the Southeast Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament or the U-23 Asian Cup. The Philippines participated in the Southeast Asian Games four times, but never got beyond the group stage.
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Filipino citizens .
