Geographical location

Pieńkówko is located 2.5 kilometers south of Pieńkowo ( Pennekow ) on a secondary road connection from Sławno ( Schlawe ) via Staniewice ( Stemnitz ) to Voivodeship Road 203 . Until 1945, the place was immediately west of the Reichsbahn line No. 111p from Schlawe to Stolpmünde (now Polish: Ustka), although the next train station was either Pustamin (Postomino) or Stemnitz (Staniewice).

history

Neu Pennekow, formerly also known as Klein Pennekow , was probably established as a colony in the 18th century. Until 1945 it was part of the community Pennekow in the district of Schlawe i. Pom. and belonged to the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After Soviet troops occupied the place on March 8, 1945, the place, like all of Western Pomerania, was placed under Polish administration. The immigration of Poles began, most of which came from areas east of the Curzon Line . In December of the same year all German residents were expelled . Under the Polish administration, New Pennekow was named Pieńkówko. Today the village is a district of Gmina Postomino in the powiat Sławieński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The community leader is currently Barbara Jochemek.

church

Most of the residents of Neu Pennekow belonged to the Protestant church until 1945. The place was part of the parish Pennekow in the parish of Pustamin and belonged to the parish Rügenwalde (Darłowo) of the church province of Pomerania in the Protestant church of the Old Prussian Union . The church patronage was incumbent least, the owner of Good Seehof in Pennekow, Sibylle chess from Wittenau born von Below. The last German clergyman was Pastor Samuel Jobst.

Today the Evangelical parishioners living in Pieńkówko are looked after by the parish office in Słupsk ( Stolp ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
