The 65th Tour of Poland was held from September 14th to 20th, 2008 in seven stages over a distance of 1076.4 km. A length of 1258.6 km was planned, but various stages had to be shortened due to bad weather. The cycle stage race was part of the UCI ProTour 2008 .

Overall winner was Jens Voigt . The last year's winner was Johan Vansummeren .

The Tour of Poland 2008 started, just like 2007, with a short team time trial in the capital Warsaw . The next stages led through north-east Poland. Then it went south, there are the low mountain ranges of Poland. The tour ended in Krakow for the first time. In previous events, Karpacz was the final point of the tour nine times in a row. Three stages covered a distance of more than 230 kilometers.

The Tour of Poland celebrated its 80th anniversary.

The tour was affected by constant storms: The sixth stage, the king's stage, had to be shortened by almost half of the planned route to 118 km. The last stage was shortened by around a third to 95.4 km. The fourth stage, which was shortened by 40 km anyway due to heavy rain, was ended prematurely by the drivers. The stage ended on a circuit in Lublin , which had to be passed several times and which was classified as too risky.

All 18 ProTeams and a selection of drivers from the Polish Continental Teams DHL-Author , CCC Polsat-Polkowice , Legia and Kalev Sport took part.
