The Police Headquarters Upper Bavaria North is a police association of the Bavarian Police ( state police ) based in Ingolstadt . It reports directly to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior .

The association emerged from the Upper Bavaria Police Headquarters, based in Munich , which was divided into the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters and the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters as part of the 2008 police reform.

Police President of the Police Headquarters Upper Bavaria North is Police President Günther Gietl, his permanent deputy is Police Vice President Roland Kerscher. The former Friedenskaserne serves as the service building .
