The Lower Franconia Police Headquarters, based at Frankfurter Straße 79 in 97082 Würzburg, is an area presidium of the Bavarian Police ( state police ) and is responsible for the entire Lower Franconia administrative region . It reports directly to the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior .

2,637 police officers (511 of whom are women) work in the Presidium, 362 of whom work for the Lower Franconian criminal police. The area of ​​responsibility is 8,532 square kilometers with around 1.34 million people.
