Proložac is a municipality in Dalmatia .

Proložac belongs to the Split-Dalmatia County and has 3,802 inhabitants (2011) who live in five associated localities (Donji Proložac, Gornji Proložac, Postranje, Ričice , Šumet).

Culture

Proložac offers various sporting, acting and musical events. The community is known nationwide for its performance of the birth of Jesus in the Suvaja River, not far from the center of the community. Žive jaslice, as the performance is called, attracts numerous believers from near and far (including from Hercegovina) to Proložac.

The third division NK Mladost of the Croatian football league is based in the center of Donji Proložac .
