history
The name Okruk was mentioned as early as 1228 and means "pile, stone, reef". There is also the theory that the origin of the name of the greeting of the Chapel of the Holy Cross at the entrance in the place (o, Crux!) Attributes to the residents, but there is no clear evidence for this. According to history, the first hermit lived in the 5th century by the ancient church of St. Theodore from the 15th century, on the bank in Okrug Gornji.
