Queens of the Stone Age is the first studio album by the Californian rock band Queens of the Stone Age . It was recorded from April 3 to April 21, 1998 in various studios in California and was released on September 22 of the same year. In March 2011, singer Hommes own label Rekords Rekords released a remastered new edition including three additional titles that did not make it to the first edition.

  • If Only is a new recording of the song If Only Everything from the Kyuss / Queens-of-the-Stone-Age - Split- EP.
  • On the occasion of the re-release, Queens of the Stone Age went on tour from March to May 2011 and played the entire album in one go.
  • The song How to Handle a Rope (A Lesson in the Lariat) was also released for the new edition with Avon as the B-side as a 7 ″ single with a limitation of 1000 copies.
