Lullabies to Paralyze is the fourth studio album by the Californian rock band Queens of the Stone Age . It was recorded in Van Nuys from August to November 2004 and released on March 21, 2005. It is the first studio album after Nick Oliveris was kicked out and at the same time the first album with Troy Van Leeuwen and Joey Castillo.

According to the booklet, all songs were recorded live on March 19, 2005 at Earthlink, Atlanta . However, some of the recordings are from March 27, 2005 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC , as Homme is heard thanking DC .

  • The Fun Machine Took a Shit and Died was recorded for the album, but the tapes were misplaced and could not be found. The booklet says: “Was lost or misplaced. (There is a reward for the return of said tapes) "
  • Two concerts on the Lullabies to Paralyze tour in London were recorded for the DVD Over the Years and Through the Woods .
  • The title Lullabies to Paralyze comes from a line of the song Mosquito Song from the previous album .
  • The song In My Head is part of the game music of Need for Speed: Underground 2 .
