Nick Oliveri
Nick Oliveri (born October 21, 1971 in Palm Desert , California ) is an American musician.
Life
Oliveri was the bass player for the band Kyuss . After their dissolution, he played temporarily with the Dwarves and from 1998 together with Josh Homme in Queens of the Stone Age . He also founded the band Mondo Generator , which he still plays with today. He was kicked out of Queens of the Stone Age by Josh Homme for mistreating his girlfriend. In addition, there were constant drug problems that made it difficult to be with the rest of the band. In 2004 he released the solo acoustic CD Demolition Day . In 2010 he sang a bonus track called Chains & Shackles on the album Slash . In 2012, the Facebook page of his current band Mondo Generator announced that he had recorded a song with Queens Of The Stone Age .
Since 2017 he has been a permanent bassist for the Russian punk band Svetlanas .
