properties

Questra is a soccer ball manufactured and sold by adidas and, in the mid-1990s, stood for the globally widespread match ball that was used at both the World Cup, the European Championship and the Summer Olympics. The name Questra is derived from the English phrase "quest for the stars" (German: Reach for the stars ), which is also suggested by the small star and planet-like images on the hexagonal panels and is intended to refer to the glory days of American space travel remember the discovery of space.

Questra was the first match ball with a high-tech layer made of white polyethylene with a particularly high energy return and underneath it had a foamed, compressible layer with head-ball shock-absorbing properties. Due to its modern and popular feel, it was also used in other major tournaments with a slightly different design. At the European Championships in England, the ball was decorated with a blue design that was supposed to represent the " Three Lions " with a red rose in the middle. The hexagonal panels of the ball were decorated with three torches for each of the Olympic Games. They were the first colored soccer balls to appear in important soccer tournaments.

The final edition of the ball was the Questra Apollo , which was used in the Spanish Primera División . Except for the Real Federación Española de Fútbol logo, there were no changes.
