properties

Like most other soccer balls in international sports competitions, the Etrusco Unico was manufactured and distributed by Adidas . It is the first ball that was used in both a World Cup and a European Football Championship without having been specially developed. The ball was also used at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona .

The name of the game ball can be traced back to the long history of Italy , in which the ancient people of the Etruscans played an essential role. The appearance also features three Etruscan lion heads on each of the 20 panels.

The ball represented the next development stage in synthetic materials. It was the first cue ball with an inner layer of black polyurethane foam. This made the Etrusco Unico completely water-repellent. The official replica of the game ball was called Primo Etrusco and its main feature was a blue color of the decoration.
