The Röderradroute is an approximately 104 kilometer long cycle path that follows the course of the Großer Röder . It leads from the source near Röderbrunn near Rammenau through the Saxon districts of Bautzen and Meißen to Kosilenzien in Brandenburg, near the confluence of the Röder into the Black Elster . The route was planned jointly by the West Lusatia , Dresdner Heidebogen and Elbe-Röder-Dreieck tourist regions and opened in 2014 as a long-distance cycle path.
route
Starting from Rammenau , the route meets the Große Röder in Bretnig-Hauswalde , the course of which it follows in parallel via Großröhrsdorf to Kleinröhrsdorf . While the Röder then flows through Wallroda and the Hüttertal to Radeberg , the route runs through the suburban settlement Am Taubenberg . The route from Radeberg to Liegau-Augustusbad often leads directly on the river , then the route goes via Seifersdorf into the Seifersdorfer Valley . The route runs via Hermsdorf and Medingen through the bird sanctuary "Große Röder between Grossenhain and Medingen" to Radeburg . The path passes the Radeburg reservoir , which is fed by the Große Röder. The route leads through the nature reserve “Kienheide and Mittlere Röderaue” in Rödern to the Großenhainer Pflege natural area , through the town of Großenhain via Wildenhain to Zabeltitz . There are numerous ponds along the way in the “Röderaue” nature reserve. Via Tiefenau and Spansberg , the route crosses the border between Saxony and Brandenburg and leads through Kröbeln to its end point in Kosilenzien . The Röderradroute connects here to the FR5 cycle path from Mühlberg / Elbe to Bad Liebenwerda .
The route was officially released as a continuous long-distance cycle path on the Open Monument Day 2014. At the event in the baroque Rammenau Castle , three other cycle paths were released in addition to the Röder cycle route: the product route , the culture route and the nature experience route .
