The Răducu Lake ( Romanian Lacul Răducu ) together with the same sandbar a reserve in nature and landscape protection of the IUCN Category IV habitat and species conservation area in the National Park Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve . By law number 5 of March 6, 2000 and court order number 2.151 of November 30, 2004, Lake Răducu was designated a nature reserve of national importance. As part of the National Park Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, he is part of the World Heritage of UNESCO .

The Răducu Lake Nature Reserve is a wetland area south of the Letea Forest , on the territory of the CA Rosetti municipality , with an area of ​​25 km². It includes the lake complex between the Chilia and Sulina arms of the Danube , with Lake Răducu being by far the largest.

The importance of this protection zone is mainly due to the abundance of fish in the lakes Răducu and Răduculeț . Encountered Tench ( Tinca tinca ), catfish ( silurus glanis ), carp ( Cyprinus carpio ), Pike ( Esox lucius ), perch ( Perca fluviatilis ) and bream ( Abramis brama ).
