Rabah Aboud (born January 1, 1981 in Tissemsilt ) is an Algerian long-distance runner .
Athletic career
Rabah Aboud gained his first international experience at the Cross Country World Championships 2000 in Vilamoura , where he finished 39th in the U20 classification after 25:11 minutes. Five years later he reached 23rd place in the short race at the World Cross Country Championships 2005 in Saint-Étienne after 12:16 min and at the 2006 World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka he reached 52nd place after 11:32 min. The following year he took participated in the 5000-meter run at the military world games in Hyderabad and won the bronze medal there in 13: 53.74 minutes behind the Kenyan Mark Kosgei Kiptoo and Brahim Belaout from Morocco. At the World Cross Country Championships in Edinburgh in 2008 he came in 97th place after 38:24 min. In 2010, he came 20th at the 2010 World Cross Country Championships in Punta Umbría after 35:33 min. He then finished fourth at the Military World Games in Rio de Janeiro in 13: 19.00 minutes and retired from the World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, with 14: 00.34 minutes in advance. He then reached tenth place at the Africa Games in Maputo in 13: 50.56 minutes and did not reach the finish line in the 10,000 meter run at the Pan-Arab Games in Doha . In 2012 he qualified over 5000 meters for the Olympic Games in London , where he did not reach the final with 13: 28.38 min .
At the World Cross Country Championships 2013 in Bydgoszcz he finished 11th after 33:28 min and then won the Mediterranean Games in Mersin in 13: 38.01 min over 5000 meters, before he won the Islamic Solidarity Games in Palembang with 14: 48.48 min reached fifth place. At the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang , he came in 31st place after 37:20 minutes and finished eighth over 5000 meters at the Military World Games in Mungyeon, South Korea, in 14:09.83 minutes. In 2016 he won the Auch half marathon in 1:05:02 h and at the 2017 World Cross Country Championships he finished in 45th place with 30:48 minutes. This was for the time being his last international competition.
