Rabbids Invasion is a 2013-2019 computer-animated television series produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures and Nickelodeon Productions based on the Raving Rabbids game series.

content

The series follows the experiences of the extraterrestrial, hare-like "Rabbids". They explore the earth and its inhabitants in a childishly naive manner, which they obviously enthusiastically imitate in a mostly bizarre way that is typical for them. The resulting misunderstandings in combination with numerous and varied slapstick elements dominate the humor of the series.

production

As of October 2010, Ubisoft and Aardman Animation announced a cooperation to produce the television series based on the Ubisoft games and initially began with a pilot film . Aardman Digital, a division of the UK studio, had previously worked on a website for one of the games. From October 2011, Ubisoft worked on the project with the newly founded subsidiary Ubisoft Motion Pictures and cooperated with Nickelodeon Productions. The national broadcasting rights were sold to France Télévisions , the international rights went to Nickelodeon . This made Rabbids Invasion Ubisoft's first own film production. It was supported by the Center National du Cinéma et de l'Image Animée and Région Rhône-Alpes,

The 26 almost half-hour episodes of the first season consist of 78 seven-minute computer-animated episodes. Another three seasons followed with the same number of episodes, so that the series has a total of 104 episodes.

publication

Nickelodeon premiered the 26 episodes in the United States from August 3, 2013 to December 6, 2014 . The network also brings the series out in Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and France, sharing rights with France 3 in France . A Canadian broadcast is on YTV . The episodes can also be purchased through iTunes , Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Video, PlayStation Store , Samsung Media Hub and Vudu . A German version was shown by Nickelodeon from December 30, 2013.

The second season first aired from March 11, 2015 to February 14, 2017. The third season followed from July 5, 2017 to March 16, 2019. The fourth season started on July 1, 2019.
