Yakkity Yak is a 52-part Australian animated series by writer Mark Gravas and aired at Nickelodeon .

It's about the 12-year-old Yak Yakkity, who lives in Onion Falls with a pineapple (Keo) and the girl Lemony. Yakkity really wants to be a comedian, but it's difficult because of his unusual humor. Other continuous roles are Grandma Yak, Chuck, Professor Crazyhair and Mr. Highpants. The series was dubbed for the German-speaking market at Arena-Synchron Berlin.

Keo is a person who wears a pineapple over his head. He is very intelligent, but has stage fright. He's having problems with his father.
Lemony is a blonde girl who has a vivid imagination.
Grandmother Yak is Yak's grandmother. She has yak's impulsive genes.

The title Yakety Yak from " The Coasters " from 1958 was sung in an updated form by children, at least in the English version.
