Randers Municipality was until December 2006 a Danish municipality in what was then the Århus Office in Jutland . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new municipality of Randers together with Nørhald Kommune , Purhus Kommune and Langå Kommune (not including the three southernmost parishes), as well as the western part of Sønderhald Kommune and the Havndal area in Mariager Kommune .

Randers municipality was formed as part of the administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
