RatzFatz is a Tyrolean children's music duo , consisting of the musicians Hermann (Schwaizer-) Riffeser alias "Ratz" and Frajo Köhle alias "Fatz".
description
Riffeser and Köhle studied guitar and music and movement education at the Carl Orff Institute of the Mozarteum in Salzburg . When performing live as RatzFatzBänd , the duo can be accompanied by two more musicians. The duo also performs outside of Austria with its program “Music to listen and participate in”, for example in the Darmstadt Central Station , at the Children's Culture Exchange in the Pasinger factory in Munich in the Cortile - Theater im Hof in Bozen , etc.
RatzFatz has released a total of five albums on CD since 2000, including a live album. During the studio recordings for the album songs, the duo received musical support from various musicians: Klaus Falschlunger ( sitar ), Christine Köhle ( recorder ; wife of Frajo Köhle), Tabea Köhle (vocals; daughter of Frajo Köhle), Louis Goldblum ( drums ), Bernhard Großlercher ( trombone ), Gerhard Hacker saxophone , Wolfgang Henn ( double bass ), Bernhard and Wolfgang Hering , Stefan Laube ( clarinet ), Barbara Müller ( violin ), Bernhard Nolf (trumpet), Joachim Pedarnig (bass), Herbert Pixner ( Clarinet, trumpet , vocals), Peter Riffeser (violin, viola ), Stefan Schwarzenberger (percussions; solo), Kristian Tabakov ( oboe ), Alexandra Thöni (vocals), Florian Trenkwalder (trumpet), Jon Sass ( tuba ), Gerald Walser ( Drums, electric bass , ukulele , vocals), Christian Wegscheider ( piano ) etc.
In 2013 , together with the illustrator Hubert Flattinger , who partly designed the album covers, RatzFatz founded the non-profit association “We turn a thing together”.
